Duplicating Slides in Zoho Show

Duplicating slides can save time by allowing you to reuse content or retain consistent design elements throughout the presentation. If you need an exact replica of a slide to modify or highlight different points, Zoho Show offers easy duplication options.

How to Duplicate a Slide

  1. Right-Click to Duplicate: Zoho Show will insert the duplicate immediately after the original.
  2. Copy and Paste Method: Another way to duplicate a slide is by copying and pasting it. Right-click the slide in the editing window or sorter pane, select Copy, then navigate to the position where you want to place it and select Paste Slide from the Actions menu.

Duplicating slides helps streamline the process of creating content with a consistent format, making it ideal for presentations with recurring information or similar layouts.

Moving Slides within Your Presentation

Reorganizing slides allows you to experiment with the flow of information, helping you structure your content for maximum impact. Zoho Show makes it easy to move slides within the presentation.

  1. Select the Slide: In the sorter view or slide pane, click and hold the slide you want to move.
  2. Drag and Drop: Zoho Show automatically updates the slide numbers to reflect the new order.

Adding Notes for Presenters

Presenter notes are useful for keeping track of key points and ensuring nothing is missed during the presentation.

  1. Open the Notes Pane: In Normal view, the Notes pane appears beneath the active slide.
  2. Add Your Notes: Click inside the text area to begin typing notes related to your presentation.

If the notes pane feels too small, resize it by placing your pointer near the edge of the pane and dragging to expand the window. Adding notes helps presenters remember key points and stay organized.

Changing the Theme of Your Presentation

The theme sets the tone of your presentation and ensures a consistent design. In Zoho Show, changing the theme can be done easily, allowing you to refresh the look of your presentation at any time.

How to Change Themes

  1. Open the Themes Tab: In the right-hand pane, go to the Themes menu.
  2. Select a Theme: Zoho Show will instantly apply the theme across the presentation.

Deleting Unwanted Slides

Saving Your Work in Zoho Show

Zoho Show provides several ways to save and duplicate your presentation.

Quick Save Options

  • Save As: If you want to create a copy of the presentation, select Save As and give the duplicate a unique name.

Alternatively, you can create a duplicate of the presentation by clicking More at the top of the toolbar, then selecting Duplicate Presentation.

Exporting Your Presentation

Zoho Show offers export options compatible with Microsoft PowerPoint, OpenOffice Impress, and other common formats.

How to Export in Different Formats

  1. Open the Export Menu: Click Export at the top of the slide editor.
  2. Format:
  • HTML: For online display.
  • PPT: Compatible with Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • PPS: For PowerPoint Viewer or Microsoft’s presentation viewer.
  • ODP: For OpenOffice Impress.
  • PDF: For printing or sharing, compatible with Adobe Acrobat Reader.

When exporting as HTML, the presentation opens in a new browser window. For other formats, Zoho Show will prompt you to save the file to your hard drive, allowing you to open it later with the appropriate software.

If you need a printed version, export the presentation as a PDF, then open it with Adobe Reader or Acrobat and print from there.

Deleting a Presentation Permanently

Finished with a presentation and no longer need it in your library? Zoho Show lets you delete presentations completely, freeing up space and keeping your library organized.

How to Delete a Presentation

  1. Go to Show’s Home Page: Access the main dashboard where all your presentations are listed.
  2. Click the Trash Icon: This moves the presentation to the Trashed Presentations folder.

Permanent Deletion

To delete the presentation permanently, go to the Trashed Presentations folder. Locate the presentation and click Delete Forever. Zoho Show will ask for confirmation before permanently removing the file.
